Junghans Terrassenbau Museum 2018Schramberg
A permanent exhibition about the company's history and the art of watch making: Junghans is opening a watch museum at Schramberg, its headquarter in the Black Forest. The thematic-chronological parcours extends over five floors of the listed industrial building, the “Terrassenbau”, by Philipp Jakob Manz, where small-size and big-size watches were produced until the second half of the 20th century. The focus of the exhibition is on selected watch collections such as Black Forest clocks, music boxes, chronometres for sports events and classic wristwatches, among them the well-known Max Bill collection. Founded in 1861, Junghans is one of the internationally most important watch manufacturers.
