Museum Selma Cologne
Client: DOMiD Dokumentationszentrum und Museum über die Migration in Deutschland
Size (sqm): 10.000
Museum Selma in Cologne-Kalk will be Germany's central museum on migration. Designed by ATELIER BRÜCKNER, the project transforms the historic Hall 70 of the former "KHD" factory with minimal, targeted interventions. The design works with the existing structure as a metaphor for society itself: preserving what's there, inviting what's new. Architecture and exhibition design come from one creative vision. Selma will be more than a museum - it will be a vibrant meeting place, a spark for community and a catalyst for urban renewal. Here, Germany's migration story is told anew - open, participatory and full of life.
