In the research laboratory, the archaeological investigation of fossils and findings is presented as a „criminal case.“ The spatial translation of a “laboratory” stands for the analytical archaeologist´s work by using the latest scientific methods. On the basis of 14 scientific containers with interactive installations, archaeological and scientific methods are explained to the visitors. The museum was renamed and is now called the "LWL Museum for Archaeology and Culture".
